It was 2009 in the month of June when Ty Beanie Boos were introduced first. They are quite similar with Beanie Babies but have bigger eyes and heads. They are available in several different animal designs. The country wherein the first batch of Beanie boos were sold is in the United Kingdom having seven various designs and after a year in United States, another six types of boos were released which were slightly modified versions of the original seven. In the year 2010 in the month of March when two new sizes of Beanie Boos were introduced by Ty. The small ones are called Boo boos which stands at 5 inches and the medium ones are called Buddies and stands at 13 inches. Then in the year 2012 in the month of January, the large 16 inch boos were presented by Ty.
Because the Beanie boos were retired and many collectors still wanted them, some of the boos has gone up in value since they were introduced. When the product is declared “retired” by Ty company, it means that the said product is no longer manufactured. More demand of a product that has less production means the price will increase too because of the economics’ supply and demand.
A Beanie boo named Ghosty the ghost which stands at 6 inches is considered as the most expensive one and is sold on April 7, 2013 on eBay for $179.95. The auction description stated that the hang tag had a very slight crease, so it might have been sold for even more dollars if the hang tag was mint. Ghosty was released on 2010 and was sold out on November 12, 2010 and it is considered as an exclusive UK Beanie boo.
How to Achieve Maximum Success with Bears
The next expensive Beanie Boo is named Kooky the koala bear that stands 6 inches too and sold on eBay in February 15, 2013 for $151.10. Kooky was released on 2010 and was sold out on June 28, 2010 and it is considered as an exclusive UK Beanie boo. In the United States, there was a second version of Kooky that was later released. I think the first version from UK would be more valuable although the product description of Kooky on eBay did not specify if it was released in the UK or the US.
